License Mobility
Exponential-e customers can often make use of eligible Microsoft software using existing licenses. This makes moving existing applications and workloads to our cloud simple and often means no additional licensing fees. This benefit is available to Microsoft Volume Licensing customers who have active Microsoft Software Assurance (SA) contracts. An added benefit is this allows customers to continue to buy perpetual licenses from their existing license provider.
How to ensure you’re covered
Customers who wish to make use of License Mobility through Software Assurance must complete a license verification process which allows Microsoft to ensure you have eligible licenses with active Software Assurance. To begin this process and review additional details, please click here.
The License Mobility Verification Form has a section to fill in relating to the Authorized Mobility Partner. Please use mobility@exponential-e.com as the email address, Exponential-e as the partner name www.exponential-e.com as the partner website. A full guide relating to the process can be found here License Mobility Verification Guide (pdf).
Microsoft will provide confirmation that you have successfully completed this verification process and notify both you and Exponential-e. You can still deploy your application server software prior to the verification process being confirmed or fully complete. You are responsible for ensuring you complete any true-ups under their agreement.
