Environmental, Social,
& Governance (ESG)
Our commitment to operating as an ethical, socially responsible
company in everything we do.
At Exponential-e, we are passionate about
protecting our planet and conserving its natural resources
for future generations.
As far back as our company’s birth in 2014, Exponential-e recognised that our stated mission to be recognised as ‘a world-class company’ would only be achieved if we were willing and able to act as responsible global citizens. This ethos has continued to inform every aspect of our operations in the years since, from the way we host our customers’ critical data to the way we engage with our supply chain and attract, cultivate, and retain the next generation of talent.
We firmly believe that technological innovation can be a positive force for social change, and work with organisations across the public and private sectors to make this a reality.
Our Five CSR Pillars
Our five ESG Pillars represent the different ethical obligations that are deeply embedded in our everyday business.

Environment
We believe that even the smallest action can make a difference to the planet, and so reducing impact on the environment is something we care deeply about.
Reduce, Reuse, Recycle are principles that are baked into our company’s DNA .

Diversity and inclusion
We are committed to recognising talent regardless of background and eliminating discrimination at work.
Fairness, diversity, and inclusion have been embedded in our business from the very beginning.

Health and wellbeing
With high levels of stress and uncertainty, it’s more important than ever to ensure our employees get the best support for their emotional and physical health, and so we offer a number of programmes and initiatives in this area.

Local community support
We strive to make a difference in our communities, with our People Engagement Networks organising numerous charity events throughout the year, and our employees enjoying time off to focus on their own voluntary work.

Business practices
Exponential-e is dedicated to sustainable, ethical and responsible business practices. We look for the same high standards when choosing suppliers and partners, who must demonstrate a clear commitment to data protection and supporting human rights.
Environmental Responsibility
Environmental responsibility within our data centres
Exponential-e exclusively hosts our solutions in ISO14001-accredited data centres that have implemented leading-edge energy management systems, with renewable power sources utilised wherever possible. We also continue to explore the full potential of virtualisation, allowing us to deliver secure, high-performance hosting solutions that minimise environmental impact and allow our customers to reduce their carbon footprints.

Environmental responsibility at our offices
We continue to identify and implement new opportunities for saving energy across our offices, including investing in energy-efficient air conditioning, lighting, and printers, and ensuring recycling facilities are available on every floor. We constantly monitor and review our energy consumption to ensure our defined targets are met.
In addition to our ongoing investments in eco-friendly hardware, any redundant equipment is recycled, and donated to charities and community projects, where possible.
Our own Green Team work constantly to not only ensure green principles are properly embedded across our workplaces, but also provide our employees with tips and advice for living in a more sustainable, environmentally friendly way outside of work. In this way, sustainability is very much part of our company culture and something that staff at all levels are passionate about.
